2011 Pageant Overview

We are now preparing for the 2011 Pageant to be held in October. Currently young women are encouraged to register if they have the following: beauty, talent and good communication skills. The contestants must be prepared to have a full slate of speaking engagements, promote the title at events, conduct themselves in public honoring their title, volunteer for the community and demonstrate stature that reflects title worthiness. The winner and first runner up, in the event the winner cannot fulfill her duties, must be willing and prepared for a full slate of activities spanning the year she holds the title.

The 2011 pageant will be held in October at the Washington Pavilion. It will run from 11:30 am to approximately 9:00 pm, and the after-party will begin at 10:00 pm. There is limited seating in the auditorium—only 500 seats are available. So get your tickets soon by stopping at the 315 N. Main Ave. office. Tickets cost $25 per person.

The contest will include cultural dances, speeches, live performances by Sudanese entertainers, and the contestants competing for the Miss Sudan USA's title. The lucky girl who wins the title will receive a crown and a scholarship.
